Bohemia Canvas was created by directors Charles Preston, Graham Cresswell and John Preston. From their background in set design and drawing inspiration from architectural influences across the globe, their passions for innovating beautiful and interesting tented structures has helped to grow Bohemia Canvas over the last 25 years. Our hand-crafted structures are designed and built with focus, passion and rigorous attention to detail. We design and manufacture all our structures in the UK with a dedicated team of experiences tentologisits, craftspeople, operational heroes, figures folk, pre and after sales team – the Bohemia family has grown to provide a full, friendly and professional service from enquiry through to delivery.

At Bohemia Canvas, we are dedicated to offering an unrivalled array of beautiful handmade tents, in a wide range of styles and sizes. Our structures are based on a modular system, designed and developed by us over the last 25 years. Our structures versatility allows them to be reconfigured or increased in size to cater for demand and to incorporate bespoke features. Our tents can be connected in a myriad of different ways or tailored to fit a space. Each event is a blank canvas on which to paint your story. We also offer a bespoke range of decorative linings which significantly influence each structure. We offer a tailored approach and are always happy to discuss your specifications in more detail.

What are your top tips for choosing the right marquee?

What trends are you seeing this year?

Teamwork makes the dream work, and we love seeing the story painted on each blank canvas of our structures. Just as we try to create tranquil green spaces in the home with houseplants and earthy tones, wedding and events spaces follow suit. We’re experiencing huge demand for wooden-framed, natural canvas structures that feature wooden flooring and botanical-print cotton linings. Greenery and florals are being used in new and creative ways outside of the traditional table setting; from dressing the tent beams with leafy foliage, to incorporating beautiful displays and installations of plants and trees as the centrepiece or entranceway to the structure. Every event paints a different story and our marquees provide a blank canvas for you to explore your own personal style. We love each event we have the pleasure to be involved in. 

Share one design/project that you’re working on at the moment that makes you really excited for 2024.

Each year offers new and exciting directions. Bohemia Canvas is proud to progress the ancient art form of tent making and continues to evolve the opportunities for demountable architecture. 2024 has some incredible projects in store and we are constantly reminded of our structure’s potential for majestic beauty, symbolism and celebration. At Bohemia Canvas we celebrate the craftsmanship and ancient skills developed across generations, alongside new techniques and advances, to ensure that we continue to offer an unrivalled array of beautiful handmade tents and bespoke linings.
